A master tool set puts wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, a hammer and measuring tools into one case. The real question is what separates a good one from a box of filler.
GOODKING describes these kits as comprehensive toolkits for mechanical, construction, electrical and DIY work. They combine wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, sockets, hammers and measuring tools in one organized case, with sizes typically ranging from 50 to over 500 pieces (source: category page).
The 168-piece aluminum-box set, model 11681, shows what that looks like in practice. Its listing includes:
The mix covers automotive work, home repair and light electrical maintenance. The 72-tooth ratchets matter for tight spaces: a finer tooth count needs less swing arc per click. This is a general engineering point, not a manufacturer claim.
According to the manufacturer, most tools are forged from high-grade chrome vanadium steel for corrosion resistance and durability. Handles are ergonomic and non-slip to reduce hand fatigue, and tool heads are precision machined to close tolerances. Each tool has a dedicated slot in the case (source). Versions may add metric and SAE sizes, magnetic tips, quick-release ratchets and multi-tools.
The wording is "most of the tools," not all. Handles, cases, measuring tools and blades use other materials, which is normal. When you compare sets, check which parts are CR-V and which are not.
On the company side, GOODKING reports five factories covering cold heading, heat treatment, polishing, plastic boxes and assembly, a 24,000 m² site and annual output of 3,000,000 sets. It says it exports to more than 60 countries (About us). Controlling heat treatment in-house is a meaningful point, because hardening quality largely decides whether sockets round off or crack.

The category page gives general figures: an ABS carrying case, roughly 8–12 kg and a standard toolbox of 45 × 35 × 12 cm. The 168-piece listing (11681) states 13.7 kg and a shockproof case of 460 × 360 × 155 mm. The difference is probably explained by the aluminum-box variant, but the pages don't say so.
The same applies to certifications. The category page lists ANSI/ASME compliance and RoHS compliance. The About page refers to ISO and CE approvals, and a badge on the homepage reads "ISO 9001:2008". ISO 9001:2008 has been superseded by the 2015 edition, so ask any supplier for current, dated certificate copies and the test standard that applies to your model. This is a general due-diligence step, not a finding about this company.
Treat the category-page figures as a guide and the individual product page or datasheet as the specification.
Before buying, check the socket size gaps in your own most-used fasteners, confirm metric versus SAE coverage, and ask whether replacement pieces are sold separately. Sellers say on-demand replacement parts are available (Service page).
The manufacturer's guidance is sensible: use the correct socket or wrench size to avoid rounding bolts, set the ratchet direction lever before applying force, and don't use tools for other purposes, such as a wrench as a hammer. Wipe tools clean and return them to their slots, inspect them periodically for wear or damage, and lubricate moving parts such as ratchets (source). A missing tool is easy to spot in a slotted case, which is a practical benefit of the layout.
For importers and distributors, GOODKING's published terms include:
Source: Service and FAQ. The category page also mentions custom branding and modular upgrades for bulk orders. Confirm minimum order quantities and warranty terms in writing: the page says many kits now carry a lifetime warranty, which is not a promise for every model.
Is a bigger set always better?
No. Extra pieces often come from duplicate bits or small accessories. Look at socket range, ratchet quality and the case first.
Why does chrome vanadium steel matter?
It is a common alloy for hand tools because it balances hardness and toughness. The manufacturer cites it for corrosion resistance and durability.
Can I get a set with my own branding?
The manufacturer says custom branding is available for bulk orders. Send details through the contact page.
